We searched for quite a while to find someone competent to repair our engineered wood floor. We finally found Rene Villeneuve of Plancher Summum and we are very happy we did.The person who did the repair was obviously experienced and within a few hours, the floor was as good as new. He worked cleanly and with precision, fitting the new boards perfectly before securing them in place. We consider the price that we paid excellent value for this quality of work.Mr. Villeneuve obviously knows his business and was always respectful and friendly in his dealings with me. I had a great experience with Plancher Summum. I had a chocolate-coloured engineered floor, and wanted it sanded to a natural, light wood colour. As I had just moved to Montreal and had no other references, I searched on Google and trusted the reviews. Mr Villeneuve, the owner, was extremely knowledgeable and always easy to get in touch with and helpful. No unpleasant surprises regarding the costs, everything was clear, well explained - if you have the experience of hiring other contractors in Montreal you know this customer service alone can be very disturbing. He went to my place, tested the floor for sanding, gave me the options that would be possible on that specific flooring I had. He speaks perfect English, which made everything easier as well. Not only he knows about the floors, he also gave a lot of tips on the renovation I was doing that made the final result much better. I only wish I could have hired him to do all the jobs and not only the floors!read more

The team at Summum recently worked on our floors (sanding and finishing it with Natural oil). We could not be happier. Rene went the extra mile and helped educate us to make the right decision. Very professional and respectful. His team did a fantastic job and were very nice and helpful in answering any questions we had.
